Lokesh Kanagaraj has now become a director who often uses the vintage aesthetics from the classic movies such as the usage of "Vikram" in Vikram's title song. Recently Sun Pictures released the upcoming title revealing teaser of Rajinkant's Coolie which erupted with a song that goes like "DISCO Disco Disco which exactly resemble the song "Vaa Vaa Pakkam Vaa" song from Thangamagan 1983. Now the question is, on what basis in the subject of Copyright our Maestro Ilayaraja would have issued a notice?

In order to do this, a license or a formal permission from the original creator is mandatory. Lack of permission to use an already existing work made Maestro Ilayaraja to issue a notice. Do you think such notices will stop the innovative thinking of the creators, or do you side with the original creator must be as strict as Maestro Ilayaraja in order to protect an intellectual property?
