What did Pawan Kalyan actually sell when he sold his OG's digital rights?

Pawan Kalyan, one of the biggest stars in Tollywood turned politician whose movie OG is on top of the list for the most talked about Tollywood movies of 2024 just sold its digital rights for an astonishing price of 65 crores by a leading digital platform, sources confirm. The movie is hyped to be the most expensive movie of Pawan Kalyan’s career and is directed by Sujeeth who was the director for Prabhas’s hit movie Saaho. Pawan Kalyan’s most recent movie BRO in which he shared the screen with Sai Dharam Tej, his nephew did not do well at the box office. The expectations were high but, it just missed the mark for the audience. This time with OG, Pawan Kalyan is all set to do it big with OG with the producer DVV Danayya investing over Rs.200 crores into the movie. The movie has been in the making since April 2023 with Priyanka Mohan as the female lead and Emraan Hashmi making his debut in Tollywood as the villain.

Digital Rights are the Rights that are sold by the Production houses to the OTT platforms. After the release of a movie in theatres, the movies are released within 42 days, sometimes even longer if the movie is doing well in theatres. A contract is drawn between the Production house and the OTT platform for the Assignment of Copyright of the movie and it is released in accordance with those terms and conditions.

OG is all set to release on September 27^th, 2024.
